Why does your CONTACT INFO appear on my listing on various INTERNET websites?

Modified on Sat, Apr 29, 2023 at 10:11 PM

Keep in mind that if a REALTOR is working with a buyer that is interested in your property, ALL of your direct contact info DOES appear in MLS with instructions to contact you for all questions, offers or to view the property.  (There is NO reason a REALTOR should be contacting us about your property.)

For sites other than MLS:

The MLS rules and regulations prohibit ANY brokerage from displaying ANY direct owner contact information to the public. (Learn more about IDX here) To get around this rule, if a potential buyer calls us about your property we will give them your direct contact info and instruct them to contact you for all questions, offers or to view the property.  If the inquiry comes in via email, that email is forwarded DIRECTLY to you and it then becomes your responsibility to contact and/or follow up with that potential buyer.

  • If you have a REALTOR.com® upgraded package you can have a link directing consumers to a webpage on our site that contains your direct contact info available 24/7/365.
